Melanie Eade started her business as Urban Oasis in Auckland City in 2004. In February 2013 she relocated to Point Wells and opened Oasis Studio behind the General Store for treatments with yoga classes being run from the Point Wells Bowling Club.
In 2017 Oasis then moved to Bali Garden and became established as a Yoga Studio & Day Spa Retreat with treatments and classes all from the one place. Oasis quickly gained a reputation for high quality and consistency of treatments and classes with carefully selected therapists and teachers.
After four years in the studio at Bali Garden, in 2021 Oasis relocated to a fresh new space in Matakana Village well suited for regular treatments and classes. Locals and visitors alike who may have never tried yoga or massage have become regular users of Oasis’ services. Its location in Matakana offers a tranquil setting within the hustle and bustle of the market place, cafes and shops - a peaceful oasis right in the centre of Matakana Village.
The new premises opened up an opportunity for a wellness collective with other like-minded practitioners and wellness professionals to work from the space. Then with the second lockdown and mandates Oasis Wellness Collective downsized with many of the therapists moving their practices to their homes or choosing to pursue other careers. At this point and during the summer of 2022 Oasis moved to outdoor yoga classes and converted the yoga and treatment spaces into AirBnB's. After the summer months these spaces were re-instated for wellness treatments and classes.
Toward the end of 2024 Oasis made a move to Snells Beach where Melanie was able to combine home and business together (home upstairs and work downstairs).
Melanie, and her therapists and teachers are honoured to look after their clients in this perfect wellness studio.
